Students taking a test in a classroom.

Welcome to Testing and Assessment Services at AACC. There are lots of reasons you may need to take a test: as part of the application process, as an assessment for a college class or as a final step in earning a professional certification. While we know testing can be stressful, we think of testing as an opportunity for you to take a step closer to achieving your goals.

Email our testing office at [email protected] for information on how to take your placement tests. All Accuplacer Placement Testing requires a prep course in Canvas before registering for the placement.

Types of Available Testing

Depending on your goals, there are several categories of tests you may need to take at AACC. The links below describe the types of tests we offer, including step-by-step instructions for scheduling, preparing for and taking each exam.

Placement Testing for New Students

Welcome to AACC! If you need to take a placement test, visit our testing webpage. You'll find helpful information about the placement test, including how to prepare for the test. Students may be able to use their unweighted 11th grade high school GPA to place into classes. Our testing specialist will help you determine if it is still necessary for you to complete the placement test.

Course Testing

In certain situations students may need to complete their exam at one of our testing centers.  Please view this page to obtain our Testing Center requirements.  Also, students with accommodations will be able to view what services we provide and instructions on how to make accommodation appointments.
